More like Isla-mor-can we stay forever?!
I recently went to Islamorada with my family and MAN am I have withdraws!! Last Monday I was laying beach side with a fruity drink in hand, and now it’s back to work on another gloomy, January Tuesday. Last week > this week.
We had the BEST time so I wanted to share with you all where to eat, sleep, explore and play in my favorite Key!!
WHERE WE STAYED
We stayed at the Postcard Inn Beach Resort and Marina at Holiday Isle and it was nothing short of amazing! To quote one of my favorite movies of all time… “It’s even better than the pictures” (for all you Parent Trap lovers out there). The blue azure water & white beaches had me mesmerized for the whole trip. All of the photos above and directly below were taken at the hotel!
Location | The resort is located halfway between Miami and Key West, which is the most perfect location. Key Largo is just up the road and you can get to the smaller keys, as well as Marathon in no time!
Atmosphere | At the resort, you can make the day whatever you want! If you want a fun, lively day full of water activities or bouncing around to the bars, you can do just that. There’s plenty to keep you occupied. Or if you prefer to lay out on the beach and relax, you can snag a chair by the pool or on the beach. Can’t beat that!
Room | We stayed on the first floor and could walk right out to the beach via our own little patio! Yes, it’s nice to have a balcony view sometimes, but we really liked where we were located because it was super convenient throughout the day when we needed to run back to the room. Plus, it was ocean front!! How often do you get to open the “back door” and see a beach? #stilldreamingaboutit
Food and Drink | There are 3 restaurants/bars on the property. Holiday Isle Tiki Bar (my fave), Raw Bar and Ciao Hound. We spent many-a-night at the Tiki Bar 😉
Activities | You name it, PCI has it. Jet skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, kite boarding…the list goes on! You can check out the full list of vaca activities here. And I can’t forget fishing. Islamorada is the Sport Fishing Capital of the world after all!
And now for my recommendations…
